Biotechnology

1) What is biotechnology?
Biotechnology is the technology involving living organisms: such as plants, animals, or even body parts.

2) Who would benefit from this technology, and what are the advantages?
Humans would benefit the most from this technology, especially disables and people who lose their body parts. For example, if a person loses their arm during war, biotechnology provides them with a new arm. So instead of living their life without an arm, or a hand that could do nothing, they can now have a hand that can help them tie their shoes, pick up a pen, or a glass of water. As technology gets better, the hands can probably do even more amazing things.

3) Is it ethical to replace human body parts with biotechnology?
Well, I think it's more of a choice rather than a right or wrong kind of thing. For example, of course disables and people with missing body parts can, but if a normal person wants to replace their body parts for no reasons, then that's fine. As long as they don't compete in competitions where humans use their real hands but the people who use biotechnology are there. It would be in a way cheating, because normal human can't possibly beat technology. And it would still be fine as long as they don't commit crime AND do it voluntarily, not forced to.

FUTURE HOME!!!! :D:D

Yes, the future home would cause major influences to our health, and way of living. For example, instead of having a nice cup of hot coffee while reading the news, you can check the news out while brushing your teeth. And you wouldn't have to rush to prepare for parties anymore, because you can just buy food right at your house, which is very convinient. BUT, those can all be very negative effect to our health, for we would just sit around and wouldn't exercise, or in other words, it would just make us plain lazy and less responsible.

Cultural Diversity

What is diversity? Why is it important to respect diversity?
Everywhere you go, you can easily see that people are different from one another. We call this diversity. Diversity means the variety of people, appearance, culture, language, religion, and beliefs. For example, a person from Japan will have a distinctive look compared to a person from America. Being diversed makes all of us special and unique from one another.
Unfortunately, some people do not respect the concept of being diversed. They treat people who are different as outcasts, like they do not belong. It is very important that you do not do that, for it will break a community apart. For instance, a school that has teachers, staffs, and students from different backgrounds working together, helping each other out will accomplish great things, like Havard. On the other hand, a school that does not do those small, but very important thing will not only create a bad future for the students that go there, but will "help" add more bad components in life. People around the world working together resembles the same thing. They share ideas, helping each other to improve technology, studies, and keep money flowing. So it is significant that we respect each other's differences, and help each other to make our community, and our world, a better place.

HW for Holiday

My first source is from a newspaper, which I don't know how to include on here. So I just took the logo and copy it on here. ALSO I had trouble
finding news in English that I can understand (things that are not goverment stuffs and economy) so I just did one in Vietnamese.

My second source is from the internet. Which is from another newspaper online, but a different name. It's called "Tintuc online"... http://tintuconline.vietnamnet.vn/vn/thitruong/478692/index.html It's weird how their source is from the "Tuoitre" newpaper, too.

1)   They're the same because they talk about the same information, about how there are plenty of flowers for sale on Tet, but people don't want to buy them, and the sellers end up losing a lot of money.
They're different because different authors write them, and there are different pictures. One is in black and white, the other one is in colors. Also, the one on the newspaper online gives out more facts about prices. Also, the internet is a lot more easier to access, and it's free, too. So most people with computers prefer to read news on the internet rather than buying a newspaper. ( I said MOST ==)
2)   Generally, both of these news pieces are reliable. They give out facts and pictures that goes with the fact. For this is written by a person who is working for that newspaper, which is a news reporter, not a person who can log on a post their own news piece on there, this makes us feel we can trust the website and the newspaper. Also because they are controlled by the government, so it should be trustworthy.

Survey Results

1) After people finish taking the survey, here are some of the trends that i found:
      - People rarely watches/ follows the school's (ais) games (basketball and soccer).
      - On sport magazines, people like to read about celebrities gossips more than other things (but they read comments, ratings, reviews too."
      - People prefer basketball to other sports.
2)   For the newspaper, i'm planning to write about a basketball match, then about how the audience feel, the comments and reviews. (Because if i'm doing about celebrities gossips then my whole project theme would turn into "Celebrities").
(What i'm not going to do: Write about soccer...i had too much "friendly" debates going on in my survey =]] )
To person who said student gossips: awwwkkkkwwwaarddddd ><

MY HOLIDAYYYY

I went to Hong Kong for vacation. What surprised me was I went around without a jacket, eating a whole box of ice cream when the weather was 3 degree Celsius and didn’t get sick. Near the end of the trip, I went to Hong Kong Disneyland and saw Chip and Dale, Stitch, and Donald Duck. That made my heart tender. At New Year’s Eves, people gathered at the center of Disneyland and watched fireworks. Thousands of people went there just to see it. Unfortunately, all I could see was either heads, or butts….It wasn’t the most pleasant sight you can see for New Year, but that’s how I did it, so …WOW!.....
